Gerina Piller (formerly Gerina Mendoza) has gone from "Big Break" contestant on Golf Channel to Solheim Cup hero in the space of a few short years.

The 30-year-old New Mexico native, married now to fellow pro Martin Piller, enjoyed her best LPGA season in 2015, earning almost $750,000 and finishing second twice. She also saved the American Solheim Cup comeback in September with a clutch putt in her Sunday singles match.

Piller seems set to break through for a first LPGA win in 2016.
