VIDEO: Peter Malnati gets mud all over himself with failed hazard shot

SHARE THIS STORY Tour player Peter Malnati got muddy on Thursday at the WinCo Foods Portland Open, and he wasn't too happy about it.

Malnati's second shot to the par-3 12th at Pumpkin Ridge landed in the hazard short of the green. At fourth on the tour's money list heading into this week's regular-season finale, Malnati had no reason to play conservative. He decided to play the shot from the muddy lie in hopes of saving a penalty stroke.

The ball wound up rolling back into the hazard and mud getting all over his light-colored clothes.

Malnati's reaction was hilarious, "Are you kidding me?! All of this for that?!"

He went on to make quadruple-bogey 7 en route to 4-over 74 in the first round.
