Odyssey Golf combines its best putter features with Works line

For too long, Odyssey Golf has kept two of its best technologies separate. A new line coming out at the end of January, however, will change that.

Odyssey announced this week its new Works line, which combines a new insert, called Fusion RX, with its Versa alignment design features, to deliver a putter that rolls true and is easier to line up to the target.

The Fusion RX insert is a combination of two Odyssey technologies: the White Hot insert found in so many of the company's putters and a very thin piece of steel mesh. Combined, the insert improves feel and, the company says, gets the ball rolling toward the target faster.

Perhaps the most interesting of the 10 headĀ options in the line is the 2-Ball Fang, which combines the Fang head type and all of its moment-of-inertia benefits with the alignment confidence of the 2-Ball putters. The Works line offers five counterbalanced putters, labeled Tank models, using the classic five head styles with added weight in the head and butt of the club.

The Odyssey Golf Works line of putters will launch January 30 and start at $180, going up to $220 for the Tank models.
