Luke Donald had a tough time splitting the fairway on Thursday in the first round of the DP World Tour Championship. He didn't have such trouble splitting his pants.
Donald, who is next-to-last in the 60-player field after an opening 76 at Jumeirah Golf Estates' Earth course, unfortunately had a rip in his Northwestern University-inspired purple pants. The former world No. 1 took the opportunity to share the bad news with a great pun on social media: #playedlikeanasstoday.
The post was since deleted, but it was well-played and didn't need to be sent to the digital trash heap.
