Vandals leave pro-Palestinian message at Donald Trump’s Scottish golf club

Pro-Palestinian activists vandalized President Donald Trump's Trump Turnberry in Aberdeen, Scotland, over the weekend to leave a message of defiance in response to his proposed idea that the United States take over and redevelop the territory.

On Saturday, activists took video of the vandalism that can be seen from overhead as reading "Gaza Is Not For Sale." The visual appears to be made from paint. Additionally, activists used red spray paint on a clubhouse exterior wall.

Palestine Action, the group claiming responsibility, said it “rejects Donald Trump’s treatment of Gaza as though it were his property to dispose of as he likes.”

They added in a statement: “To make that clear, we have shown him that his own property is not safe from acts of resistance.”

Trump shared an AI-generated video of a conceptual Trump Gaza, enraging pro-Palestinian observers. There is a current ceasefire in the 15-month Israeli war against Hamas, during which hostages and prisoners have been swapped. It's unclear what a second phase of that ceasefire would look like and if it'll even happen. Trump has said every Gaza resident should be displaced and permanently resettled elsewhere so the United States could "take over" and redevelop the territory.

The Ailsa Course at Trump Turnberry had been part of the rotation to host the British Open Championship, but it has not been in the rotation since Trump purchased the property from Emirati interests in 2014. It last hosted in 2009.
