The top eight players in the Official World Golf Ranking will not change going into next week's British Open at Royal Lytham and St. Annes.

A projection released by OWGR officials show Luke Donald will remain No. 1 in the world regardless of the outcome in the Scottish Open. Rory McIlroy, Lee Westwood, Tiger Woods, Webb Simpson, Bubba Watson, Jason Dufner and Matt Kuchar will go into the year's third major in that order behind Donald.

With a win at Castle Stuart, Martin Kaymer could improve as high as ninth. Phil Mickelson, who shot 8-under 64 on Friday to break  a streak of eight consecutive over-par rounds, could go as high as 10th with a win.
