Lydia Ko shot a final-round 8-under 63 to win her first major at the 2015 Evian Championship. It's the first time in women's golf history that a champion has shot a final round that low. However, Ko's effort isn't the lowest round in women's major championship history. That honor belongs to 2014 Evian winner Hyo-Joo Kim.

Here's a look at the lowest rounds in women's major championship history:

ANA Inspiration (formerly Kraft Nabisco Championship)

62 - Lorena Ochoa, 2006, Mission Hills Golf Club, 1st round, finished 2nd (lost in a playoff)

KPMG Women's PGA Championship (formerly LPGA Championship)

63 - Patty Sheehan, 1984, Jack Nicklaus S.C., 3rd round, won

63 - Meg Mallon, 1999, DuPont C.C., 3rd round, finished T-11

U.S. Women's Open

63 - Helen Alfredsson, 1994, Indianwood Golf & Country Club (Old Course), 1st round, finished T-9

Ricoh Women's British Open

62 - Minea Blomqvist, 2004, Sunningdale, 3rd round, finished T-8

Evian Championship

61 - Hyo-Joo Kim, 2014, Evian Golf Club, 1st round, won
