If you took a quick glance at Irish amateur Paul Dunne, seeing him in the Under Armour threads, you might be convinced you're looking at world No. 2 Jordan Spieth.
Donne, who was medalist at his Final Open Qualifying site for the second consecutive year, is in the house at 6 under par for two rounds at the British Open. Throughout the day, Dunne, a complete Jordan Spieth look-a-like, relished in the cheers from crowd, some of which may well have believed they were looking at the two-time 2015 major winner.
However, that's not the case.
The Irishman has the potential to make some history when the second round concludes on Saturday morning. Since 1985, per Golf Channel, only two amateurs have been in the top 10 through 36 holes at the British Open: Justin Rose in 1998 at Royal Birkdale and Jin Jeong at the Old Course in 2010.
