Srixon announces fifth-gen Q-Star golf balls

Srixon has officially launched the fifth generation of their Q-Star golf balls, designed for players with slower swing speeds that can't take advantage of the Z-Star balls.

The line hit stores on June 28, available in white and yellow.

The ball features a new FastLayer core, which gradually becomes firmer toward its outer edge. The idea is the firmer outer ranges of the core allow for players to maintain feel of a single core while building speed through compression at the edges of the core.

The Q-Star features Srixon's 338 Speed Dimple pattern, which reduces drag for a more penetrating ball flight and more distance.

These golf balls also feature Srixon’s proprietary Spin Skin technology with Slide-Ring Material (SeRM), which is a urethane compound that coats the cover. The material is designed to dig into the grooves of irons and wedges to increase fiction and maximize spin.

The new Q-Star balls are available for $27 per dozen.
