There’s going to be more golf coming to Sweetens Cove Golf Club in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. King-Collins Design announced on Twitter it is beginning work on a Himalayas putting green that will be a welcome addition to the main nine-hole course on the property.

The putting course will sit beneath the existing shed-slash-clubhouse and occupy a formerly unused space behind the ninth green and the first tee. Adjacent to the putting course will be a semi-wrap-around deck and patio area where golfers can hang out before and after playing the main course or using the putting course, which will be 12,000 square feet in size. There will be a pavilion and three-tiered deck overlooking the ninth green. The putting course itself will flow into the tee for the par-5 first hole, giving an extra touch.

The shed-clubhouse has been moved to make room for the putting course. In fact, work has already begun on the putting course.

Putting courses have become an increasingly popular feature at resorts and destination courses. Thistle Dhu has proven great for Pinehurst, and another U.S. Open host resort, Erin Hills, has also added one.
