Greyson Sigg shoots third 59 in PGA Tour Canada history, finishes third at GolfBC Championship

Greyson Sigg made PGA Tour Canada history on Sunday, joining Jason Bohn and Brady Schenll as the only players to shoot a sub-60 round in the tour's history.

Sigg birdied his final three holes to shoot 12-under 59 at Gallagher’s Canyon Golf & Country Club in Kelowna, British Columbia, to lock up history.

Going 2-3-3 down the stretch secured a back-nine 28, closing out a bogey-free round with 12 birdies. Sigg, a 24-year-old from Augusta, Ga., was battling the nerves of both rocketing up the leaderboard and trying to shoot a sub-60 round.

“It was pretty nerve-wracking, but with me being close to the lead and knowing that I was right there, I knew I needed to keep the pedal down and keep going and try to make as many birdies coming in as I could," Sigg said, according to PGA Tour Canada. "Luckily I did.”

Sigg didn't win the event. He ultimately finished on 17-under 267, finishing three shots behind winner Jake Knapp. For Sigg, this was a breakthrough, clobbering his scoring record in the prior two starts at this event.

“I’ve struggled the last couple years here," he said. "I was always wondering how guys go so low here. I was finally able to figure it out.”

The last player to beat 60 on the PGA Tour Canada was Brady Schnell at the 2014 ATB Financial Classic. Jason Bohn shot a 58 in 2001 at the Tour Championship when the circuit was called the Canadian Tour.
