With the PGA Tour deciding to offer a one-and-done fantasy golf platform, as well the increasing number of private one-and-done leagues, we here at Golf News Net will offer weekly one-and-done fantasy golf picks separate from our weekly fantasy golf rankings and picks.

We began with the 2018 Safeway Open, continue this week at the 2019 Wells Fargo Championship and will continue through to the Tour Championship in Atlanta in August 2019, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on theĀ one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

We keep having really good sets of picks here with the One and Done selections, but we're not homing in on the right player at the end of the day. Ryan Palmer was mentioned as a great selection at the Zurich, but we took Patrick Reed, and the Patricks didn't perform.

We're back into solo territory this week in Charlotte with the Wells Fargo Championship at Quail Hollow. A solid field with plenty of players to like, even as we enter the third year of the "new" Quail Hollow.

2019 Wells Fargo Championship One and Done picks

  • Rickie Fowler -- Racked up a win here (his first on the PGA Tour) and had a great run at the 2017 PGA.
  • Paul Casey -- Coming back after the Masters disaster may be a catalyst for a good week.
  • Rory McIlroy -- He's a horse-for-course for sure.
  • Phil Mickelson -- Same thing; horse-for-course pick, even after the changes.
  • Hideki Matsuyama -- Consistent this year, though not as good in years past.

My pick this week will be Phil Mickelson. It's time to use him and hope he does his normal thing here.
