After a wet, but successful turn as host of the 2016 PGA Championship in a July slot, Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey is slated to host a pair of majors in the coming years. The PGA of America has announced Baltusrol will host the 2023 KPMG Women's PGA Championship and the 2029 PGA Championship.

This announcement follows a similar dual announcement for Aronimink Golf Club near Philadelphia, with that club also agreeing to host both the Women's PGA Championship and the PGA Championship.

The 2023 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship will be the second women’s major championship played on the Lower Course. In the 1961 US Women's Open, Mickey Wright bested Betsy Rawls by six shots.

In 2029, Baltusrol will host its third PGA Championship. Phil Mickelson won in a Monday finish in 2005, while Jimmy Walker survived a marathon Sunday in 2016 to pick up his first major title.

“The PGA of America is delighted to continue our wonderful relationship with Baltusrol well into the future,” said PGA of America CEO Pete Bevacqua. “We’re excited to watch the best men and women in the game measure themselves against one of the most historic and challenging golf courses in the world, Baltusrol’s Lower Course.”

The announcement of the 2029 PGA heading to Baltusrol squeezes the possible dates for Southern Hills to host the PGA between 2025 and 2030. Right now, they're looking at 2025 or 2030.
