2018 Quicken Loans National one-and-done fantasy golf picks

With the PGA Tour deciding to offer a one-and-done fantasy golf platform, as well the increasing number of private one-and-done leagues, we here at Golf News Net will offer weekly one-and-done fantasy golf picks separate from our weekly fantasy golf rankings and picks.

We began with the 2017 Safeway Open, continue to the 2018 Quicken Loans National this week and will work through the Tour Championship in Atlanta in September 2018, keeping track of our picks all along the way.

Before we begin, if you're not familiar with game, read this primer on the one-and-done fantasy golf format, and welcome to the game. It really is as easy as it sounds, but you have to take a long-term view of the season to figure out how best to use players.

We had some good options lined up last week for the Travelers Championship, but we didn't pick the best option (Rory) among the picks or the winner (Bubba), who we tipped in our fantasy picks. Some weeks, it's right under your nose.

This week, it'll be tough. The Quicken Loans National has a weak field, and the golf course punishes bad play quickly and frequently. Tiger Woods might be the pick in concept, but I think we have to look at other players.

2018 Quicken Loans National One and Done picks

  • Tiger Woods -- I have an inkling he will do well this week, maybe even win the final Quicken Loans National.
  • Rickie Fowler -- Rickie did well here last year, and he should be in good shape after the US Open finish.
  • Chesson Hadley -- Hadley is always a good pick on a course requiring good ballstriking, which TPC Potomac does.
  • Kiradech Aphibarnrat -- Aphibarnrat should be a solid play.
  • Kyle Stanley -- The defending champion has come around really nicely in the last month, so, he should be a threat to repeat.

My pick this week will be Tiger Woods. I think this is our best spot to use him, and I'm gonna put my money where my mouth is. (I also used everyone else I mentioned.)
