Jack Nicklaus came to the final hole of the 2018 Masters Par-3 Contest trailing playing partner and fellow legend Tom Watson by a shot. Nicklaus had already seen Watson hit the green, and Nicklaus needed a hole-in-one to take the lead. The Golden Bear didn't get it.

But Jack Nicklaus' grandson did.

Nicklaus' grandson, Gary “GT” Nicklaus, Jr., son of Gary Nicklaus, was caddying for his legendary grandfather when he went to the tee box to hit a shot of his own. The 15-year-old competitive golfer hit a great shot on the 135-yard hole, and he did the club twirl that lets you know it's a good shot.

GT's shot hit about 15 feet past the pin to the right, and then it started coming back toward the hole. And it kept coming. And then Nicklaus, Watson, Gary Player and everyone watching kept cheering it on before it disappeared in the hole for an incredible hole-in-one.

GT and Jack embraced, and Jack shed a tear as his grandson scored his first-ever hole-in-one.

Nicklaus has played in competitive events with his grandson before, including in the PNC Father-Son Challenge. But The Golden Bear told ESPN this was his favorite memory of his career, seeing his grandson make a hole-in-one on this stage.
