The 2018 Valspar Championship purse is set for $6.5 million, with the winner's share coming in at $1,170,000 -- the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour's prize money distribution chart.

The Valspar Championship field is headed by Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth, while Adam Hadwin is defending champion. Spieth and McIlroy weren't among the 78 players who made the 36-hole cut, but that weekend field means the 2018 Valspar Championship prize money payout will actually be more than the stated $6.5 million.

Tiger Woods is seeking his 80th PGA Tour victory and first since winning the 2013 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in Akron, Ohio. He was last in contention to win a PGA Tour title at the 2015 Wyndham Championship in Greensboro, N.C.

Paul Casey, Justin Rose and Patrick Reed are also in contention to win.

The event is played this year at Innisbrook Resort's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor, Fla.
