Jordan Spieth's 2018 schedule will look a little different than last year. However, he'll kick off his year in the same way as the last several, in Hawaii for the Sentry Tournament of Champions.
Spieth will be at Kapalua for the resumption of the PGA Tour season at its winners-only event, which he won in 2016 by eight shots. The 24-year-old won three PGA Tour events during the 2016-17 season, including a third leg of the career Grand Slam at The Open Championship.
Then Spieth will continue on to the Sony Open in Hawaii, before playing in the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Spieth will be in the field at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He is sponsored by AT&T, and he's also the defending champion.
Spieth added the Valspar Championship to the schedule on the Friday deadline, somewhat surprising observers.
Spieth should also be in the WGC-Mexico Championship and WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play in his home state of Texas. He'll go through a big stretch with The Players, AT&T Byron Nelson, Dean & Deluca Invitational at Colonial and the Memorial Tournament. It's unclear if Spieth will team up in the Zurich Classic of New Orleans again. He'll defend the Travelers Championship title.
We should see him in all four FedEx Cup playoff events and on the U.S. team for the Ryder Cup in France.
Spieth should also be back in Australia in November to play in the Australian Open, but without a title sponsor, it's unclear if the tournament can pay his appearance fee.
