President Donald Trump hasn't played a lot of golf lately. Most weekends, a White House pool reporter tweets something about Trump being on one of his golf courses and being en route to one of the 17 golf courses and country clubs his Trump Organization owns or manages. Then, inevitably, someone on Instagram shares a photo of Trump on the property and there's confirmation that the Commander-in-Chief is hitting the links.
However, since leaving Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., following a 17-day "working vacation" while the White House was undergoing renovations, Trump hadn't played golf since Aug. 20 until he went to Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster on Sept. 15. He hadn't added to the 58 times he has visited a Trump-owned golf course since becoming President.
Trump's 25-day break since Aug. 20 is his longest break from golf since he has been in the office. The previous longest Trump had gone without a round of golf since becoming President is 20 days, from May 14 to June 3. With hurricane response a top priority, as well preparing for fights over tax cuts and the looming budget and debt-ceiling must-dos, the sticks were in hibernation for a while. However, with the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Trump made the trip to his summer White House.
