Phil Mickelson was waiting in the left rough on Thursday in the pro-am round of the 2017 Dell Technologies Championship. He was waiting for the green to clear at the par-5 seventh, still with 287 yards to the hole. And while he was, he talked it up a little with his gallery, included a young fan who was right along the rope line.

Mickelson asks the kid, named Riley, point blank, "Would you go for it here out of the rough, or would you lay up?"
Without a pause, the kid responds, "If I could hit my 3-wood 260 (yards), I would probably go for it," drawing laughter from the crowd.
Lefty responds, "I like the way you think."
A few seconds later, the green clears, and Mickelson hits his shot. After he hits the shot and sees where it ended up, Mickelson turns to the junior and says, "Riley, you can caddie for me anytime," as he walks away.
What a great interaction with Mickelson and Riley, and super cool for it to be caught on video.
