Donald Trump visited one of his golf courses for the 20th time on May 6 since becoming President on Jan. 20. Trump played a round of golf at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J., where he is spending the weekend instead of Mar-a-Lago in Florida, which he has dubbed the Winter White House.

Trump's round, revealed by a Trump National member sharing on Instagram a photo of the Commander-in-Chief playing golf, took place on the club's Old Course, which is set to host the 2017 U.S. Women's Open in July. Trump said in a tweet that he was in Bedminster, as opposed to his Trump Tower penthouse in Manhattan, so as to save money on Secret Service protection and other taxpayer-funded security and logistics costs. He also said he was there to have meetings, making no allusion to planned golf.
The Trump Administration did not tell the White House reporting pool about the round. The Administration has been reluctant to even acknowledge that Trump is playing even a hole of golf, much less an 18-hole round.
The President is certainly entitled to some leisure time, and golf has been an outlet for most Commanders-in-Chief dating back to the early 20th century. However, the reluctance to even acknowledge that this President plays golf conflicts with his almost relentless criticism of his predecessor, Barack Obama, who played an estimated 333 rounds of golf as President.
