2017 Zurich Classic of New Orleans picks, betting odds and favorites

The 2017 Zurich Classic of New Orleans betting odds have been released for the week at TPC Louisiana in Avondale, La., in the only two-man team event of the season.

The co-betting favorites this week are the teams of Jason Day and Rickie Fowler, as well Justin Rose and Henrik Stenson, each going off at 6-to-1 (+600) betting odds. After that, Jordan Spieth and Ryan Palmer are next best at 10-to-1.

If you're looking for someone to wager on at this week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans, then we have three expert picks for you: our favorite, our sleeper and our longshot.

  • Favorite: Jason Day and Rickie Fowler -- These guys are tournament regulars to this event, with their relationship with Zurich. They know the track. It'll be interesting to see how they handle alternate shot.
  • Sleeper: Hideki Matsuyama and Hideto Tanihara -- This team fascinates me, as they're ballstriking geniuses and Tanihara has an outstanding putter. If they get in rhythm, they'll be hard to stop.
  • Longshot: Dominic Bozzelli and J.T. Poston -- These guys are playing good golf as rookies that's gone somewhat unnoticed. Join 'em together and they might have some swagger at 100-to-1.
