Costco's Kirkland Signature golf balls have sold out multiple times, and when they disappeared from Costco's website, speculation mounted that the Four-Piece Urethane Golf Balls would be gone forever, sold out, not to be sold again. Adios.
However, Costco's co-founder has indicated that the Kirkland Signature golf balls will be sold again in some fashion.
Jeffrey Brotman, co-founder and chairman of the board at Costco, told the Seattle Post-Intelligencer in an email that "the golf balls will return." Brotman offered no indication of when the balls would be back, if they would be the exact same recipe as the four-piece ball made by Nassua Golf Co. Ltd. of South Korea (and rumored to be either overruns of that company's Quattro ball or made from overrun components of a TaylorMade four-piece ball) or if they would still be sold at the cutthroat price of $30 for two-dozen balls.
Since the initial stocking of the balls and the multiple sellouts of stock, Costco has listed a new ballmaker for their popular product.
