John Oda, Jared Sawada, John Chin and, yes, Tadd Fujikawa all earned spots in the 2017 Sony Open in Hawaii through the Monday qualifier.

Oda was medalist in the 18-hole event at Hoakalei Country Club, shooting 6-under 66 to beat Sawada by a shot.

Chin and Fujikawa each shot 68, surviving a six-for-two playoff with Jason Allred, Kevin Lucas, Katsumasa Miyamoto and Nyasha Mauchaza.

Oda, a Hawaii native, is on the golf team at the University of Nevada - Las Vegas, and he's ranked inside the top 35 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.

Sawada, a product of the University of Hawaii, also qualified for the 2014 Sony Open in Hawaii, missing the cut.

Chin turns 30 in April and went to the University of California - Irvine. The Virginia native had 21 starts on the 2012 Web.com Tour but finished 104th on the money list. He's making his third-career PGA Tour start.

Fujikawa, you might remember, was in contention in this event as a 16-year-old in 2007. The 5-foot, 1-inch 26-year-old pro played on PGA Tour Canada last year.
