2016 Safeway Open TV times on Golf Channel

The 2016 Safeway Open (formerly the Frys.com Open) starts the 2016-17 PGA Tour season on Thursday from Silverado Resort in Napa, Calif., with Golf Channel carrying the TV coverage for the event featuring Phil Mickelson and Paul Casey, but not Tiger Woods, who withdrew on Monday.

Emiliano Grillo is defending champion of the event that marked his second consecutive win last year, a breakthrough at the Web.com Tour Championship, then the first PGA Tour win at the Safeway Open.

Golf Channel has live coverage of all four rounds of the event, Thursday through Sunday.

All times Eastern

Thursday -- 4-8 p.m. on Golf Channel

Friday -- 4-8 p.m. on Golf Channel

Saturday -- 5-8 p.m. on Golf Channel

Sunday -- 5-8 p.m. on Golf Channel
