Steve Bowditch had a bad season on the PGA Tour.
He played 26 events on the season and missed 15 cuts, including two separate streaks of five in a row, the second which came in his final five events of the season. He had 11 rounds in the 80s, including four in a row in a DFL finish at the WGC-Cadillac Championship at 37 over par. However, he has earned kudos for gutting out a tough year and being frank and light-hearted about it on social media.
One social media bozo, though, decided to try to pick on Bowditch, with Charlie Croasdale suggesting on Twitter that he could beat the Aussie in an 18-hole match. So, Bowditch, who lives in the Dallas area, called Croasdale out on it, telling him that he would play against him and see who came out the winner.

Guess what? Bowditch showed up for the Sunday tee time. Croasdale didn't.
Bowditch wound up playing with three other guys and had a great time.

As for Croasdale's excuse?
Oh, and like a true internet hero, Croasdale deleted many of his tweets trashing Bowditch and challenging him.
