Maria Verchenova: Pictures, bio, swing, what’s in the bag

Maria Verchenova (Balikoeva, her married name) is a 30-year-old Russian golf pro who turns a lot of heads on and off the golf course. Verchenova plays the majority of her golf on the Ladies European Tour, as she was the first Russian woman to earn full status on that circuit in 2007.

However, at the 2016 women's Olympic golf tournament, she shined in Rio in the final round with a course record for the week. She also drew attention for her stylish hat she wore throughout the week, as well her 1970s looking caddie.

Verchenova plays Wilson Staff golf clubs.

She's active on Instagram, documenting her adventures.
