When will Tiger Woods play on the PGA Tour again? We can't tell you that for certain, but we can tell you that it won't be at least until October 2016.

Woods withdrew from the 2016 PGA Championship nine days before the event, assuring that the 14-time major winner will miss all four majors in a calendar year for the first time in his career. Further, Woods will also not try to fit in a PGA Tour event after the PGA Championship before the 2015-16 PGA Tour season ends.

In an email to Golf Channel, Woods' agent Mark Steinberg said, "Continuing to make progress, but simply not ready for PGA. Will not play in the '15/'16 season and will continue to rehab and work hard to then assess when he starts play for the '16/'17 season."

This means Woods will not be in the field for any of the seven remaining PGA Tour events this season, including the four FedEx Cup playoff events. Since Woods has not played on the PGA Tour since the Wyndham Championship last season in August 2015, Woods has earned 0 points to qualify for the playoffs.

With Steinberg's guidance, this means the soonest Woods could play would be Oct. 13-16 at the Safeway Open in Napa, Calif., the curtain-lifter on the 2016-17 PGA Tour schedule.
