If you've seen Bubba Watson play at all this week at the Northern Trust Open, you've probably noticed he's wearing a pretty colorful golf glove.
Well, that isn't just because Watson embraces the brighter spectrum of the rainbow. The two-time Masters winner has signed an endorsement deal with G/Fore, who makes the high-end golf gloves, as well golf shoes and apparel.
While Golfweek reports the deal officially kicks in at the Masters, Watson is such a big fan of the gloves that he started wearing them on Saturday in the third round at Riviera Country Club.
Mossimo Giannulli, the man behind the Mossimo brand, now sold only at Target, is the G/Fore founder and lead designer. An avid golfer, Giannulli founded G/Fore in 2011 after selling his namesake brand.
The company makes 24 different colors of Cabretta leather gloves for its The Collection series. They retail for $35 each, including the purple glove Watson wore on Saturday. The company also makes sweaters and high-end footwear that start at $225. A line of colorful performance socks go for $16 per pair.
At last weekend's AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, you may have seen actor Josh Duhamel wearing a hat with the slogan "Pray for Birdies" on it. That's also a G/Fore creation, as well as a similar hat with a "Fore Play" patch on it.
