Each Monday, the USGA unveils the latest additions to its list of conforming driver heads. When a new head appears, it can mean several things, but they typically fall into one of two bigger buckets:
1. A manufacturer is about to drop a new driver and the USGA has given its seal of approval, or
2. A manufacturer has created a driver specifically for one or more of its staffers and is getting the OK before putting it in those players' hands
Either might be the reason why Parsons Xtreme Golf has a new driver head on the conforming list on Monday.
The driver, dubbed Darkness (which could be the name or a working title), looks a little more mainstream compared to the PXG 0811 driver. It only has 10 weighting screws compared 16 found on the 0811.
The driver sent for approval is a 9-degree model.
It's unclear, like with the recently spotted PXG golf ball, if this equipment will ever get in the public's hands.
