Dottie Pepper will be back covering golf full-time in 2016, as CBS announced Wednesday the Hall of Famer has joined their PGA Tour coverage team.
“I am excited to join CBS Sports and return to covering live golf full-time,” said Pepper in a release. “As an analyst you want to cover your sport at the highest level and being a part of the CBS Sports golf team with the strongest and best schedule in golf, including two majors, affords me the opportunity to do just that.”
Pepper will make her debut as an on-course reporter and analyst on Jan. 30, 2016, when CBS' 2016 PGA Tour coverage begins at the Farmers Insurance Open. A 17-time LPGA Tour winner, Pepper will also remain an ESPN golf analyst.
Previously, Pepper, 50, had worked for Golf Channel and NBC as an analyst from 2004-12, leaving the company to become a member of the PGA of America Board of Directors for a three-year term ending in November.
Pepper joins the long-steady CBS golf team after David Feherty left the network in September after a 19-year relationship, eventually joining NBC and Golf Channel full-time.
