The 2026 BMW PGA Championship final leaderboard is headed by winner JJ Spaun, who topped the DP World Tour leaderboard this week with a win at Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, England.
Spaun won this DP World Tour title in his first attempt at the tour's flagship event, winning on 17-under 271 by two shots. Spaun closed with 5-under 67, including four birdies in the final five holes to win the tournament and surge past a crowded cluster of players.
Elvria made eagle 3 on the par-5 17th to take the lead and was poised to win the event with a birdie on the par-5 finishers. However, he laid up off the tee and then found a fairway bunker with his layup second shot. From there, he made a mess of the hole and made a double-bogey 7 to lose the tournament and drop into a tie for second.
Aaron Rai, Adam Scott and Rory McIlroy also finished in a share of third place on 15-under total.
Spaun won the $1,530,000 winner's share of the $9,000,000 purse.
BMW PGA Championship recap notes
Spaun earned 1,335 Race to Dubai points as a DP World Tour member, with its season-long Race to Dubai points race now about three-quarters through. He also earned 43 Official World Golf Ranking points.
There was a 36-hole cut, with 72 of 144 starting players finishing the event in the 35th completed event of the season.
The 2026 DP World Tour schedule continues next week with the FedEx Open de France.
