The 2026 BMW Championship field is set with the passing of the PGA Tour tournament entry deadline. The field is set for this FedEx Cup playoffs event, played at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis, Missouri, from Aug. 20-23, 2026.
The BMW Championship field is headlined by the likes of Scottie Scheffler, Rory McIlroy, Cameron Young and more.
This is set to be a 50-player field is played out over four days, with this event marking the 36th tournament of the 2026 PGA Tour season and the second event of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Scheffler has already clinched the top spot in the standings after this event and has won $23 million in first-place bonus money.
The tournament is being played in its originally intended slot, as the middle of the three-event playoff slate -- now reserved for the top 50 players in the standings instead of the top 125.
Eligible players skipping the event are not replaced in the field. Players who are suspended from the PGA Tour but would have otherwise qualified are not in the field, replaced by the next eligible players in the rankings.
We do not have Monday qualifiers for this event, which will be played Thursday through Sunday.
The field will be playing for a $20 million purse, with 43 of the top 50 in the Official World Golf Ranking among the top contenders.
