TPC Southwind plays, in a lot of ways, like Sedgefield from tee to green. But there are marked differences: the green complexes, the amount of water in play and the design joy. Still, there's a pretty decent comp there. Distance isn't much here if you can't get off the tee.

2. Hideki Matsuyama: This one might seem strange if you haven't been paying attention, but Hideki has been on fire of late.
3. Rory McIlroy: I guess this week, and the next two, depends on the McIlroy that wants to show up to play. He can dominate, if he wants.
4. Tommy Fleetwood: Fleetwood has been very good the last few months, and he has a strong track record at TPC Southwind.
5. Michael Brennan: Brennan put to bed the critique of his final-round performance and won the darn thing in Greensboro.

6. Collin Morikawa: Morikawa has missed one cut all year (the first one, in Hawaii), and he's been strong a lot of the year. He likes TPC Southwind.
7. Chris Gotterup: Gotterup missed the cut in Detroit, which is fine, but his driving needs to be better this week, accuracy-wise, to win.
8. Sam Burns: Burns burnt me here a few years ago in a playoff, but he likes the course, and he's been so good this summer.
9. Viktor Hovland: Hovland is really hard to predict, but he's been way better than not in the last few months, and he has a great playoff history.
10. Xander Schauffele: I don't get why Xander is third on the betting table, truly. It doesn't make a lot of sense, despite the great week in Detroit.
