The 2019 World Long Drive Ak-Chin Smash in the Sun was won by Tim Burke, who hit a grid-hugging final drive in his set at Ak-Chin Circle Field in Maricopa, Ariz., to win the first event of the World Long Drive season. Burke's 474-yard drive beat Kyle Berkshire's 466-yard best effort in the final set for the win.

Burke won the $25,000 winner's share of the $75,000 purse.

In the Women's Division, Phillis Meti struck a world-record 413-yard drive in the final round to beat Alexis Belton 413-337 in the final to win.
