We're about 30 months away from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, but the Winter Olympic Games in PyeongChang naturally leads to thinking ahead to the warmer-weather Games.

The 2020 Olympics will mark the second time golf is in the Olympic program after a 112-year absence, with both men's and women's competitions unfolding at Kasumigaseki Country Club's East Course. While golfers will keep battling to see who will make up the pair of 60-player fields, USA Golf has gone ahead and back adidas Golf as the supplier of American team uniforms.

The designs have not yet been unveiled, though the American team uniforms for the Rio de Janeiro Games were well received.

In addition to supplying uniforms for the American Olympic golf teams, US golfers in the 2018 Youth Olympic Games and 2019 Pan-Am Games will also be wearing adidas apparel.

In an effort to get golf fans in the Olympic spirit well ahead of the games, adidas Golf will be releasing a USA-inspired collection of apparel on June 1 that could also prove popular on Independence Day and ahead of the 2018 Ryder Cup.
