David Skinns had a tough choice to make on Saturday at the Albertsons Boise Open. Sitting at T-9 on the leaderboard through 36 holes, another good two rounds might well have locked up his PGA Tour card for the 2017-18 season. But at home in Georgia was his wife, who was about to give birth to the couple's second child.
What would you pick?
Skinns made the right choice for him, heading back home to be there for the birth.
Skinns has earned his way into the Web.com Tour Finals in the final regular season event on the Web.com Tour, finishing T-2 at the WinCo Foods Portland Open to jump 57 spots on the money list and into the top 75 to gain entry. He missed the cut in the first event in Columbus, Ohio, at the Nationwide Children's Hospital Championship.
The Englishman, who spent 2016 on PGA Tour Canada, still has two more Web.com Tour Finals events to secure enough money to finish inside the top 25 in earnings in the series among players who finished either Nos. 25-75 on the Web.com Tour regular season money list or Nos. 126-200 in the PGA Tour's regular season points list.
