The 2017 British Open Championship betting odds have been released for the week at Royal Birkdale in England.

The betting favorite is Dustin Johnson, who goes off as world No. 1 and at 10-to-1 betting odds to kick off the week, along with Rory McIlroy, the 2014 champion.

Jordan Spieth is at 11-to-1, while Jason Day, Jon Rahm and Masters champion Sergio Garcia are at 16-to-1.

2017 British Open Championship expert picks

presented by BetDSI.com

If you're looking for someone to wager on at the British Open Championship, then we have three expert picks for you: our favorite, our sleeper and our longshot.

  • Favorite: Sergio Garcia -- Garcia started to snap out of a funk at the US Open, then he nearly won the next week at his normal romp in Germany.
  • Sleeper: Paul Casey -- Birkdale favors ballstrikers, and Paul Casey is just that kinda of guy. He's also now old enough apparently to win an Open.
  • Longshot: Ian Poulter -- Poults has been playing pretty OK since The Players, and he worked hard to get through final qualifying to get in here. This means a lot.
