The inaugural Senior LPGA Championship kicks off July 10 from French Lick Casino and Resort in Indiana, marking the first time a major has been held for senior female golfers (with the U.S. Senior Women's Open coming in 2018 as the second). The 81-player field will compete for a $600,000 purse with a winner's share coming in at $90,000 in the no-cut, 54-hole event.

To earn a spot on the tee shot at the Pete Dye Course at the resort, a player has to be at least 45 years old (it'll be 50 for the U.S. Senior Women's Open) and fit into one of the exemption criteria.

There will also be an 11-for-2 qualifier on July 6 to finish out the field.

The Senior LPGA Championship will air on Golf Channel, with TV times running from 4-6 p.m. Eastern on all three days of the tournament.
