Jason Day is going to be representing his adopted hometown Cleveland Cavaliers this week at the 2017 Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, just a couple hours south of LeBron James' hometown.
Day will be wearing Nike Golf Lunar Command PE shoes for Thursday's first round at Muirfield Village, complete with Cavaliers colors integrated into the shoe design. It's a pretty slick look for the first round and Thursday night's opening game of the third consecutive NBA Finals featuring the Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors. The opening game of the series is in Oakland, with the Warriors holding a better regular season record.
Day is an Aussie, but his wife, Ellie, is from Ohio. The couple lives there with their two kids, and Day has adopted several Ohio sports teams as his own. Nike and Day also gave a pair of the shoes to J.R. Smith, James' teammate and a single-digit handicapper in his own right. Depending on if you have a horse in the race, you might be hoping Smith is using those shoes in his off-season sooner than later.
