Spring Into Golf, No. 2: GelTees

FOLLOW: iHEART | TUNEIN

Our Spring Into Golf giveaway series continues with GelTees, the game's first completely biodegradable golf tees.

In a given round, you hit 18 tee shots, and that usually means you're pulling out a tee out of your pocket 18 times (maybe not on some par 3s, for example). Often times in a round, tees break or fracture, and they can't be reused. That often leaves a golfer fumbling on the tee box to see if they have a tee in their pocket or trying to remember if they lost the last one, etc.

With GelTees, you'll be certain of two things: 1. You will need a new tee on every tee box and 2. You'll be hitting a tee that you'll destroy each time.

GelTees are made from gelatin and meant to shatter on impact, and the parts then biodegrade within days. That's good news for golf course supers who get annoyed with tee parts all over boxes. GelTees has the environmental potential to save 70,000 tees and keep more than 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere each year.

We're giving away 50 packs of GelTees, meaning you'll be covered for 50 rounds of golf. A whole season (or more) of tees! It's a $100 value.

To win the GelTees, you need to do two things:

  1. Follow Golf News Net on Twitter
  2. Retweet our contest tweet

And then you're entered! Our giveaway ends May 4 at 9 p.m. Eastern.
