Rickie Fowler’s Arnold Palmer-themed golf shoes are a great tribute to The King

Rickie Fowler is paying tribute to Arnold Palmer with an awesome pair of Puma golf shoes he's wearing at the 2017 Arnold Palmer Invitational, the first time the Orlando event has been played since Mr. Palmer passed away in September 2016.

Fowler has a special pair of Puma golf shoes, made by Dominic Chambrone and commissioned by Puma. The high-top shoes feature Arnold Palmer's iconic signature laser-engraved on the Velcro strap that goes over the laces, and the sides on the upper feature images of Mr. Palmer at various stages of his life, kind of like what you would see on a can of Arizona's Arnold Palmer drinks. This was created as a high-grade infused graphic printed directly on the leather of the shoe. Each piece was hand cut for each of the two pairs made.

Behind the tongue on the left shoe is Palmer's iconic umbrella logo, and behind the behind the tongue of the right shoe includes a quote from Fowler in remembrance of The King.

“Legends never die. You will live on forever Arnie. I will never forget the bear hug in front of the clubhouse at Augusta, watching you hit your final tee shot there, and to spending time with you in the locker room at Bay Hill. Thank you for being you and giving me the opportunity to do what I get to do everyday! I love you as did everyone! RIP The King.”

The shoes are pretty incredible looking. Puma is auctioning a pair autographed by Fowler to benefit the Arnie's Army charitable foundation, and you can bid on those now.

This is an emotional week for Rickie Fowler, and his Palmer tribute is on point.
