Phil Mickelson is one of the richest golfers in the history of the sport, and Mickelson's net worth reflects not only a very successful on-course career but a wise growth of his fortune from endorsement deals.

As of a 2016 Forbes estimate, Phil Mickelson's net worth is $375 million. Mickelson still draws millions each year from his on-course earnings on the PGA Tour and the occasional overseas event. He makes millions more from endorsement deals with the likes of Callaway Golf, ExxonMobil and the drug company who makes the medication he uses for his psoriatic arthritis. Mickelson also has a burgeoning golf course design business and he owns golf properties.

Mickelson is just one of two active athletes on the Forbes 2016 listing of the 20 richest celebrities, with Tiger Woods being the other. As Mickelson ages and gets toward the end of his competitive playing career, he'll continue to make investments that enhance his net worth. While Mickelson is known as a risk taker on the golf course, Mickelson does seem to know how to manage his image and his money to pad his bank account.
