Golfsmith has been purchased by Dick's Sporting Goods, with the company choosing to liquidate and close all but 30 of the 109 brick-and-mortar Golfsmith stores. The stores that remain are those which do not directly compete with the 72 Golf Galaxy stores that Dick's Sporting Goods owns.
