The Deutsche Bank Championship, the second leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs, is a rare tournament on the PGA Tour schedule, beginning on Friday and ending on Monday.

Every year, PGA Tour fans scratch their heads on Thursday of Deutsche Bank Championship Week wondering why there's no leaderboard updates. The Deutsche Bank Championship has always been played Labor Day weekend, giving it the unique opportunity to end on a weekday when almost everyone is off of work.

A total of 100 players qualify for the Deutsche Bank Championship, the second of four tournaments in the FedEx Cup playoffs. When the tournament concludes on Labor Day Monday, the playoff field will be reduced by 30, down to the top 70 in total FedEx Cup points for the BMW Championship.
