Albane Valenzuela is one of two amateurs competing in the 2016 women's Olympic golf tournament, representing Switzerland. She's the top-ranked player in the country, and she's heading for Stanford to play her college golf.

Valenzuela was born in New York to a Mexican father and French mother, becoming a Swiss citizen at the age of 14. She's the No. 11 amateur in the world.

She was the low amateur at the ANA Inspiration, the LPGA's first of five majors on the calendar, in April 2016. She also made the cut at the 2016 U.S. Women's Open.
