This story is downright ridiculous.

Indianapolis area police were called to the scene of a possible thwarted burglary on Tuesday morning, and when they arrived, they found a male suspect, identified as Joseph Galdum, who was armed with a Samurai sword. Galdum had broken into an apartment with the sword -- or at least attempted to break in.

Whoever was inside the apartment fought off Galdum with a golf club, driving him out of the home. The unidentified resident was treated for a small cut from the sword.

Police said the suspect was either intoxicated or suffering from a mental disorder.
