The Valspar Championship has gone by many names in its short 16-year history, including the Tampa Bay Championship and Transitions Championship, as well the Pods Championship. The paint maker is in their third year as title sponsor of the PGA Tour's Tampa-area stop at Innisbrook Resort and the Copperhead Course. Jordan Spieth defends the title he won a year ago in a playoff against Patrick Reed and Sean O'Hair.

For fantasy golf research, it's important to identify potential horses for courses, or players who have historically done well in the event. We call that a top-15 finish in the last five years, so we're looking for players who can finish there multiple times.

As a GNN Plus subscriber, you can access the otherwise hidden sortable data for the last five years of the Valspar Championship, giving you the same information we use in making our weekly fantasy picks.
