Jacques Kruyswijk had a really bad hole during the Sunshine Tour's Vodacom Origins of Golf at the Koro Creek Bushveld Golf Estate.

In the opening round, Kruyswijk found his ball up against a tree on the par-4 eighth hole. However, with a full swing, he tried to hit a huge cut around the tree and advance the ball toward the hole. It didn't work, with the ball immediately topping up, ricocheting off the tree and hitting Kruyswijk right in the groin.

It took a second or two before the pain registered, but once it did, Kruyswijk went to the ground in the fetal position. Even worse? He incurred a one-stroke penalty for hitting himself with the ball, ultimately leading to a triple-bogey 7.

In the end, Kruyswijk finished T-18 in the 54-hole event, 14 shots behind eventual winner Dean Burmester.
