2015 Solheim Cup: Friday morning fourballs matches, tee times

The U.S. and European Solheim Cup teams are tied at two points after the Friday morning session of foursomes, or alternate shot, at St. Leon-Rot Golf Club in Germany.

American captain Juli Inkster's gamble paid off, with captain's pick Paula Creamer teaming with Morgan Pressel to beat Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen in the opening match by a 3-and-2 count. The U.S. also won the third match of the session, with Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson winning by a 2-and-1 margin over Karine Icher and Azahara Munoz.

The Euros won with the English duo of Mel Reid and Charley Hull beating Michelle Wie and Brittany Lincicome, 2 and 1. Sandra Gal and Catriona Mathew won 3 and 2 over Stacy Lewis and Lizette Salas.

The afternoon session is of fourballs, also called best ball.
