The 2015 Solheim Cup get underway on Friday with two sessions of four matches each, starting with a foursomes -- also called alternate shot -- session in Germany.

The pairings were announced in the opening ceremony on Thursday, with American captain Juli Inkster sending a signal to captain's pick Paula Creamer by sending her out in the first match with Morgan Pressel, creating a duo that's never played foursomes together. They take on Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen, representing Europe in a match that starts at 2 a.m. Eastern.

Tee times in the remaining matches of the morning session will go off every 15 minutes.

For the Americans, four players will sit, including Brittany Lang, Angela Stanford, Gerina Piller and Alison Lee, who was left out of the session because she is suffering from food poisoning. She threw up twice during the day on Thursday, but told Golf Channel she expects to be ready for the afternoon session.

On the European side, Caroline Masson, Caroline Hedwall, Carlota Ciganda and Gwladys Nocera will sit for Carin Koch.

Here's the 2015 Solheim Cup Friday morning foursomes schedule (all times Eastern):

2 a.m. -- Morgan Pressel and Paula Creamer (USA) vs. Anna Nordqvist and Suzann Pettersen (EUR)

2:15 a.m. -- Michelle Wie and Brittany Lincicome (USA) vs. Charley Hull and Melissa Reid (EUR)

2:30 a.m. -- Cristie Kerr and Lexi Thompson (USA) vs. Karine Icher and Azahara Munoz (EUR)
